San Francisco PornFilmFestival Kicks Off!
Adult film festival celebrates a virtual premiere with 5 days of online programs

SAN FRANCISCO, California, U.S.A. (August 18th, 2020) — Pink and White Productions
announces the start of its inaugural San Francisco PornFilmFestival, streaming online August 19th through 23rd, 2020. Originally planned as 2 day in-person theatrical event, the festival has bloomed into a 5-day virtual attraction presenting 90 films, including two features, five short film programs, plus Q&As and filmmaker talks, and recorded programs on-demand, all powered by the company’s own streaming platform PinkLabel.TV.
The festival’s virtual doors open to visitors on Wednesday August 19th with two dozen specially selected pre-show films streaming on-demand, including Sex School Hub’s “Porn 101” with Lina Bimbe, exploring viewership, ethics, and what can audiences learn from watching porn.
On Thursday August 20th, filmmakers will come together for a broadcasted Meet n’ Greet. The Opening Festival Film is the celebrated mockumentary The Sad Girls of the Mountains, introduced by the short documentary SMUT CAPITAL OF AMERICA by Mike Stabile, which recounts San Francisco’s history as the epicenter of adult film 50 years ago.
Friday August 21st presents three short film programs, including a guest curated BRAZEN/BRITS by Max Disgrace of the London PornFilmFestival with films from the UK spanning the 1990’s to today including the documentary HOMECOMING, on Black queer artist and activist Ajamu, iconic queer photographer/filmmaker Del Lagrace Volcano’s classic 1990’s docu-porn PANSEXUAL PUBLIC PORN, and contemporary works such as Orgone Theory by Four Chambers. Brazilian filmmaker and scholar Érica Sarmet guest curates POST/PORNO: Short Adult Films from Latin America with selections from Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and México. POWER/PLAY presents films including PIEDAD and Mutual Masturbation which address humor and kink.
Saturday August 22nd wraps the festival with two short film programs exploring film craft and excellence in narrative and experimental storylines; VIVID/VISION includes Digital Genitals by AORTA Films and Saint Plaisir by Ivan Sobris, while TELL/TALE features the animated Á Corps by visual artist Yoann Stehr and Sides of a Lake by Feuer Zeug. The festival’s Closing Film Volunteers Wanted: or How to Live, Love, and Fuck at the Berlin PornFilmFest, pays homage to the festival from which the San Francisco PornFilmFestival draws its inspiration and moniker. The festival’s Closing Film is introduced by Mes Chéris, a powerful docu-porn whose intended theater premieres were cancelled by the pandemic. Having gone digital due to COVID-19, the festival presents several films which address the pandemic, including CORONA_Virar, Contato, OK Cammy, and Sex In Times of Corona, a project by 16 German filmmakers.
In COME/AGAIN, festival goers can watch the live programs from the week screening on-demand for 24 hours on Sunday, August 23rd. The recorded programs are available for those who may have missed a program due to global time zones — or who just want to watch again!
