For Immediate Release:

SAN FRANCISCO — Pink & White Productions has announced the premiere of “SOLO” by director Andrés Valenzuela of Cinéculo to its international streaming platform PinkLabel.TV.

SOLO is a journey of intimacy and boundary breaking featuring Edandress, an erotic performer from Chile.

Amidst an explosion of neon lights and desires, Andres Valenzuela Arellano blends fluidity and explicit intimacy around an expanded experience. More than just cinema, it’s an invitation to break taboos and stretch boundaries.

SOLO explores the life and work of Edandress, a Chilean performer and erotic content creator, as he embarks on a journey through various milestones. From his upbringing in Melipilla to the reality of entering the erotic industry.

Directed by Andrés Valenzuela and produced by Cinéculo, the film embodies the metaphor of dilation as the protagonist opens his personal space to the camera. It addresses themes such as consent, revealing in the everyday what pleasure means to him: breaking away from a restrictive and guilt-ridden society, and experiencing absolute freedom by letting go and allowing himself to explore.

“I work with members of the LGBTQI+ community and allies in both Chile and Argentina, supporting an activist and integrative approach toward collective development within society, shares Andrés. “I have collaborated with various artists and collectives, establishing my work as a videographer and filmmaker documenting artistic expressions from the local transfeminist scene and sexual dissidence activism.”

A multidisciplinary marika artist, Andrés Valenzuela Arellano is the creator of the web archive Registro Contracultural, a platform dedicated to the digital preservation of Latin American sex-dissident artistic memories. In turbulent and tremulous times, he initiated a journey toward visibility, existence, and visual rights, both individually and collectively. Devoted to audiovisual production as an extension of his artistic and activist work, his approach as a filmmaker combines proximity and complicity with LGBTQI+ communities and pro-sex activism, collaborating with individuals in Chile and Argentina to shape narratives that question, expand, and celebrate our experiences. He draws on oblique and disobedient memory, weaving critical threads for expanded reflections on testimonies, religion, politics, and affections, both in biographies and autobiographies. He inscribes these desires, convulsions, and contemplations through cinema, photography, performance, sound, writing, and installations, aiming to bring the “otherness” into a dialogue that is both identifying and dissenting.
