Happy Holigays from the team at Pink & White Productions!
It was another hell of a year, but we’re still here and so are you, which makes all the difference. For company project recaps, check out PinkLabel.TV’s Best Adult Films of 2024 Guide and CrashPad’s special end-of-year update. We probed our team for our queer highlights, both company and mainstream LGBTQ+ media at large. Here’s what we’ve enjoyed this year.
Shine Louise Houston – “Da Boss” Pink & White Productions INC Founder and Director
LGBTQ+ Movie/TV show – Agatha All Along
What else? – Sex workers in Belgium get employee benefits (CBS)
Ava LaPrima – “VideoGirl” – CrashPadSeries.com Director
LGBTQ+ Movie/TV show – I Saw the TV Glow
CrashPad episode – Ember Fiera & Jake Orion
Queer/Trans musician – Bobby Sanchez (On Instagram at @BobbySanchezMusic)
What else? – Thanks to all the performers for sharing their energy with us. You are the key to CrashPad 🔑 Pink skies ahead!
Kriss Lowrance – “The Glitch Witch” – Web Developer & Customer Support
LGBTQ+ Movie – Hm… I think the only *new* LGBTQ film I watched this year was Love Lies Bleeding… which I kinda didn’t love. Queer heresy, I know. I did get to see Velvet Goldmine in a theater for the first time and love it as much as ever.
CrashPad episode – CPS 406… if only because Piss Miggy had my favorite “what sex toy would you be” answer so far. “Crowbar” made me literally laugh out loud.
Queer/Trans musician – Marika Hackman dropped Big Sigh last January and it made my monthly top listens list multiple times.
Tristan Crane – “The Queer Documentarian” – Set Photographer
LGBTQ+ Movie – I Saw the TV Glow
CrashPad episode – Impossible to choose a favorite, so many incredible performers, scenes, and connections this year!
Queer/Trans musician – Chappell Roan! Love her work and how she’s brought fans together while also articulating her own boundaries.
Jiz Lee – “The Work Wife” – Producer & Marketing Director
LGBTQ+ Movie – Sex, Flesh in Blood! PinkLabel.TV digitized and released Christopher Lee’s early trans films, shout out to J Zapata from the Christopher Lee Legacy Project. Those early films were formative to me and played a big part into why I got into in porn, especially his desire to represent queer and trans sex and our communities.
CrashPad scene – My first time back in 2005 at the CrashPad as a performer will always be my favorite. But working behind the scenes, my favorite film is always the most recent one (Honey G and K Rivers)! I’ll also echo the episodes that Ava and Kriss mentioned above. Must-sees!
What else… Well. If you haven’t heard me shout it from the mountain enough… the second edition of my book Coming Out Like a Porn Star released this year! Buy a copy/request it from your library if you’re interested in learning what the folks who make the porn have to say about the challenges working in a high stigma field.
Thank you everyone for being here with us as we enter a new year… and Pink and White Production’s company 20th anniversary!
