SAN FRANCISCO, California, U.S.A. (November 15th, 2021) — Pink and White Productions wraps its second annual San Francisco PornFilmFestival, broadcasted live from the city’s historic Brava Theater, powered by PinkLabel.TV. The live-streamed screenings and filmmakers talks were recorded and are now available in RE/PLAY, an extended virtual program streaming on-demand through November 28th.
The festival’s programs presented over 90 films in a sexual smorgasbord spanning classic to contemporary films in animation, documentary, narrative and experimental genres. Legendary lesbian pornographer Nan Kinney of Fatale Media showed a rare public screening of the 90’s dyke porn Safe is Desire., followed by a post-screening chat with show host Q Wilson. Film historian Jenni Olson introduced Arthur J. Bressan Jr.’s long lost 70’s gay classic Forbidden Letters for its first screening in over 40 years. (It was the first time star Robert Adams saw the film in a theater, appearing on-stage to chat about his experience.) Local filmmakers Ramses Rodstein (La Limpia), Sura Hertzberg (Rising Sun Blues), Jaq Quicksilver (Trans-Cendent Delight), and Dom Razberry and Daemon Derriere (Sovereign Sex) took to the stage for a Q&A about their short films. Actress Lotus Lain of Chemistry Eases the Pain joined writer-director Shine Louise Houston in a post-screening chat, to recount her time working with industry icon Nina Hartley. Scream queen Lynn Lowry (whose predominantly horror film roles notably include Cronenberg’s SHIVERS) stars in Radley Metzger’s 1974 bisexual classic SCORE and made a special appearance before its screening.
Film stars were not limited to the stage and screen, but also in seats! Feminist porn icon Annie Sprinkle and ecosexual duo Beth Stephens, sat in the audience, joined by Golden Age Hall of Famer C.J. Lang. Local porn powerhouses Fivestar and Sadie Lola of FilthyFemDom, Janie Blade, Nikki Darling, La Muxer Diosa, Frankie Starship, Denali Winter, Bambi Bell, Allie Oops, BeyonDeep’s K & G, and many, many more. A star-studded photo gallery from the Brava will be available soon.
The San Francisco PornFilmFestival debuted in 2020 with crowdfunded support from the sex tech community to build a streaming platform and host an entirely virtual event in response to COVID-19 lockdowns. As venues safely returned to indoor public events, the festival presented a hybrid presentation of programs, broadcasting live from the Brava Theater, benefiting from the increased accessibility and international reach of a virtual festival.
Passes are now available for $20 granting access to all the festival’s recorded screenings and filmmaker talks streaming now through the 28th on-demand for the festival’s two week-long RE/PLAY period. Extended Virtual Passes and more information are available at sfpff.pinklabel.tv.
The 2021 San Francisco PornFilmFestival was presented by PinkLabel.TV and was made possible thanks to the financial support of Premiere Sponsors AV Flox, MakeLoveNotPorn, and Zaawaadi, and over 100 backers who contributed to support artists fees and professional captioning.
