Sex Educator, Author, Award-winning Director Tristan Taormino wrote in 2008 in the Village Voice “Girls Love Gay Male Porn“, and noted the work of Shine Louise Houston.
From Tristan Taormino:
The queer porn revolution is missing a key element: an independent gay male/queer boy presence. Sure, there is plenty of gay male porn out there—a ton, in fact. But most of it is produced by the mainstream gay porn industry. It’s slick, formulaic, and not so queer. The queer porn scene is really dominated by female, dyke, genderqueer, transmasculine, FTM, and transman directors, producers, performers, and films. Some of this porn includes man-on-man action of some kind. Besides Trannywood Pictures (which is about a very specific kind of man-on-man action), there is nothing dedicated to guy/guy desire and pleasure that is community-based in the way that Pink+White is. There is no gay male equivalent of Crash Pad, GoodDykePorn.com, or Cyber-Dyke (hey, people ask me all the time to make a gay version of Chemistry).Until now. Shine Louise Houston—one of the most influential, groundbreaking and talented queer filmmakers of this century—has just launched her latest endeavor: HeavenlySpire.com, a site dedicated to “masculine appreciation … masculine beauty and sexuality and how it manifests on different bodies.” It features a group of ethnically-diverse models and couples, genuine chemistry, and Houston’s signature stunning cinematography. Check it out!

I love the work. I am an artist, writer, who has had a queer taste for the delights of the flesh since… too early to speak of legally. I was I suppose a experiment from the late 1950’s. I was born a hermaphrodite. The hospital and my parents made my choice to be male. They take a few things out, put you on male hormones for years and there I am. A beautiful young person with a cauldron of swirling male and female hormones, a body built like a stud race horse, the stamina of a bitch in heat, an insatiable appetite for sexual depravity. I am writing my story of overcoming the spankings, punishment, sexuality and hypocrisy of societal rules and norms. I lean into my supposed depravity today and find much freedom in dropping the rules. I plan on producing an art film on the story as well, even if I have to do it myself.
I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you of my intrigue to Pink & White. I am looking for collaborators on finishing my story and film. If you have any suggestions, it would be a tremendous help.
Sincerely,
Trys
